Winnie and Frannie and Renee Hickman: Furry Friends Fur-Ever

“I used to be a dog person … until two orange cats emotionally manipulated me into switching teams,” laughs Renee.

“Fast forward: I ‘reluctantly’ adopted an orange kitten, wandered into the cat aisle like I needed a passport, and got help from a very handsome stranger (honestly, 10/10 customer service). He made several great recommendations.
Winnie came home with me, and surprise! Winnie is a girl (apparently rare, like finding a good parking spot).

“Then Winnie needed a friend, so I adopted Frannie, who I proudly called a ‘mutt cat’ until my neighbor corrected me like I’d just embarrassed the entire feline community. She’s a tortie, thank you very much! Frannie was adopted from Furry Friends. A dear friend, who volunteers for them, had given me the lead. Best thing ever! I have had Frannie for 4 months and I’m in love with her.

“Frannie is the sweetest! She loves to put her nose on mine to let me know that she needs to cuddle. Her chirps and tiny purr melt my heart. Thankfully, Winnie and Frannie get along well. They are so spoiled!

“I now have two cats and zero control over my life.”
