Sponsor a Kitty

A small way to make a HUGE difference

When we take in a cat, it's until adoption or to care for them for the remainder of their lives.

When we take a cat into our care, we sometimes do not know what health issues the kitty might have until after it receives a complete medical examination by our Medical Director and Medical Assistant. It is not unusual for cats to come to us with minor issues such as flea infestations or ear mites. However, others might arrive with more serious issues such as diabetes, cancer, or renal failure.

We place cats with terminal or chronic illnesses in permanent foster care if we are unable to find the perfect adoptive home. Sponsorship for a cat in permanent foster care is an affordable way for us to cover the costs of each animal’s dietary and medical needs. We currently have seven cats in permanent foster care; five are seniors with serious, ongoing medical issues and two have severe cardiac issues. Furry Friends provides the food, litter and medical care the cats need, and the permanent foster volunteer provides the love and attention the cat deserves. It can cost several hundred dollars a month for medical and supplies for just one cat, and sponsorship is an easy way to help us provide for these extraordinary costs.

Which kitties can I sponsor?

Meau

At 20 years old this little lady has seen many homes before coming to Furry Friends. She is now in a permanent foster home where she can live out her golden years in a secure and loving environment with the medical and financial support she may need for end-of-life care. She is surprisingly healthy for her age and has the personality to match! A little torti-tude never hurt anyone!

Minnie

Minnie was born with a severe heart defect and not given much time to live. Well, she has proved us wrong! She is a fighter and is doing well on monthly medications.

Gerald

This elderly gentleman was abandoned after his owners passed away. Once loved and cared for as an indoor only kitty he was suddenly left outside to care for himself. He found his way to Furry Friends and can live out his golden years inside a permanent foster home. He does love to show his affection with some love bites!

Zoe

At 16 years young Zoe hasn’t always had it easy. She is an extremely sweet girl who lost her companion, Mowgli, shortly after coming to Furry Friends. Zoe does have degenerative disc disease and arthritis which requires a monthly medication to help her with her pain.
