Quimbara and Dazi Datsimpi and Miranda Anari: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“In mid-October, I said goodbye to my 14.5-year-old cat, Dooly,” says Miranda. “She was an extremely clingy all black beauty.
“About two months later, my co-workers ‘peer pressured’ me into looking at cats in nearby shelters. I found a profile on the Furry Friends website for Lucy, an all black cat who reminded me so much of Dooly. The profile indicated that she was very attached to her son, Star, a black and white kitten born in May.
“Because I simply couldn’t separate them, I adopted them both! Lucy now goes by Quimbara, and Star now goes by Dazi Datsimpi. Over the past four and a half months, they have claimed our home as theirs more and more with each passing day. I fully believe that Quimbara and Dazi are Dooly’s legacy. They are so sweet and so full of personality.
“I strive to be the best human I can for them.”
