Smudge and Samantha and Bethe Scalettar and James Abney : Furry Friends Fur-Ever

“James and I recently lost our beloved tuxedo and we dearly wanted to help other tuxedos,” Bethe says. “We also have a soft spot for special needs kitties, and Smudge suffers from compromised vision.

“Not surprisingly, the adjustment of sweet, sociable Smudge and Samantha to living in our home was immediate. Much to our delight, their camaraderie with Cedar, our orange tabby, has been and continues to be wonderful. Seldom apart, all three of the kitties love playing together, preening each other and sleeping together. We consider ourselves to be especially fortunate in having such a purr-fectly fabulous feline trio.

“Besides playing with Cedar, both Smudge and Samantha love playing with balls and toy mice, as well as with what we, not they, consider ‘non toys’ such as paper towels, etc. Adorably and demonstratively affectionate towards Cedar and towards us, Smudge and Samantha especially enjoy being cuddled and snuggled, petted and held.

“Throughout the day, they can usually be found lounging in our catio and watching the wide world outside, while at night, they can always be found sleeping soundly with us on the bed.”
