Sally and the Bellews: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“Being cat lovers, we have had numerous cats in the past,” Stephanie says.
“When we noticed that Furry Friends was holding an adoption event at our local PetSmart, we stopped with the intention of adding a new cat to our current feline family. Actually, It was our 5-year-old daughter who hand selected the kitty we now call Sally (after Sally in the film “The Nightmare before Christmas”).
“Sally’s adjustment to living with us was surprisingly swift. She immediately fit in with our two senior cats ... and one senior dog. Brimful of kitten energy, she’s a little speedball straight out of a pinball machine! To say that she keeps the senior cats from being bored is definitely an understatement.
“While the animals generally get along, the seniors sometimes get annoyed with the active little munchkin in their midst. Luckily, though, they’re all very gentle with each other, and have never had a negative interaction. For her part Sally enjoys games and playing with toys. She particularly loves chasing balls and climbing up and down her cat tree.
“As much as she loves being active, she also loves being petted and cuddled before her daily nap. One of Sally’s silly quirks that always makes us smile is the fact that she squeaks! We should have named her Chirp or Squeaky!
“At night, she sleeps above our heads.”
