Pax and the Kinlaws: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“I grew up with cats and have always loved them,”says Alison. “Since getting married and starting a family, we have had three cats, two of whom passed away. Fortunately, we still had Missy, our sweet and gentle calico, when we decided to adopt Pax (originally named Murphy).
“We met Pax at the shelter, and one of the reasons we chose him was that he’s absolutely gorgeous! We also wanted an orange adult male because they have fun personalities, and because Missy prefers males as housemates. Not only was Pax’s adjustment to our home instantaneous, he was immediately very affectionate and clung to us. His ‘spicy’ side revealed itself over time, but we love that about him. We wanted a cat with some attitude.
“Thankfully, he and Missy get along well and love to wrestle and play together. Pax also loves playing with his small squishy mice and then mischievously batting them all over the house. Ever so sassy, he especially enjoys pouncing on us and on Missy -- all in fun! He’s definitely brought so much joy and laughter to our home.
“When he’s done playing, Pax is supremely snuggly, sitting on me and merrily making biscuits. He’s a lap cat, for sure! And he knows no strangers. He loves when we have guests over, loves greeting them and playing with them, and often snuggling on their laps as well.
“At night, no matter what position I’m sleeping in, he makes himself a spot on top of me and merrily makes even more biscuits!”
