Opal and the Knodes: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“Opal, who was originally named Olive, is far from being our first kitty,” says Cara.
“We met her at a Furry Friends adoption event at PetSmart. And the reasons we chose her were her age, her breed mix and her high-spirited spunkiness. Opal’s adjustment to living in our home was a gradual one, over a period of five to seven days. And to say that she adds smiles to our days is truly an understatement.
“What delights us most, though, is how well she gets along with our two-year-old Corgi. They are great friends. And one of Opal’s most endearing quirks is that she enjoys cleaning our Corgi’s ears!
“Agile and athletic, she especially enjoys jumping and playing chase with us or by herself. And although she likes being petted and cuddled, this feisty and fairly independent kitty prefers to be petted and cuddled according to her timeline. Then, at night, Opal sleeps soundly in her cat bed.”
