Ollie and the Raitanos : Furry Friends Fur-Ever Tail

“Ollie, formerly Oliver, isn’t our first kitty,” says Janet. “My husband Rich and I have had several cats because I can’t go through life without having one or two. When we lose one, we get another to fill the void.

“We chose to adopt Ollie because when Rich went over to pet him at the shelter, he was just so friendly. And Rich promptly said, ‘We’re taking him!’ Not surprisingly, Ollie’s adjustment to our home was immediate. We have another cat named Sasha, and although it took about two or three weeks for the hissing to stop, Ollie and Sasha now get along famously and play very well together.

“Quite simply, we love Ollie and think he’s a perfect fit for our family. And talk about toys and games! Our house looks as if we have a toddler living in it because there are cat toys everywhere. Ollie absolutely adores playing with them: chew toys and balls, fuzzy toys and moving toys.

“He’s extremely affectionate and not only enjoys being petted and cuddled, he won’t leave my lap! As for his silliest, most endearing quirk -- this is so funny -- Ollie likes to steal the plugs from the bathroom sinks and bring them to us.

“At night, Ollie sleeps with us on our bed, close to me, while Sasha sleeps at the foot of the bed.”
