Miyuki and Ann Tavolieri : Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“Ironically, when I visited Furry Friends, I was looking for an adorable little white male kitty with blue eyes because I’ve always wanted one,” Ann admits. “But when I went into one of the rooms to see Miyuki, she was in the far back of her cage, curled into a ball.
“It broke my heart seeing how sad and broken she seemed. Then I looked more closely … she had the most exquisite golden eyes! I wanted her. I kept her name and added a middle name: Pearl. She may be large, overweight and saggy, but she’s exactly the cat I wanted. And I love her dearly.
“Much to my delight, Miyuki Pearl is healthy and happy and has adjusted very well to living in my home. She loves everything about being here. She loves her toys, her food and her cat tree. She loves looking at the animals outside and she especially loves being loved.
“She and my other kitty don’t particularly like each other yet, but there isn’t any hostility between them. I adore them both and I’m so grateful to be their mommy. I’m particularly grateful, though, to Furry Friends for saving my Miyuki’s precious life.”
