Maple and Kayla Delashmit: Furry Friends Fur-Ever

“As a cat person, I’ve always had cats in the past,” says Kayla. “When I saw a picture of Maple on the Furry Friends website, I thought she was adorable and so my mom attended an adoption event at PetSmart and brought her home to us.

“Maple, or Maple Syrup as she’s also known because of her sweetness, settled into her new surroundings immediately. She’s such a curious and friendly kitty that it’s no wonder she now runs the house! Not only is she the most amazingly cute cuddle bug, she’s also fabulous fun and ever so playful.

“She gets along well with my mom’s equally friendly dog, and she LOVES playing with toys and with shoes, chasing after balls and getting the zoomies. Not to mention the fact that she lives to jump into boxes and baskets. She’s also famous for carrying her toys around and dropping them in various places to play with them later.

“As for being petted and cuddled, Maple absolutely adores pets and cuddles. One of her most endearing habits that never fails to make me smile is how spunky she is.

“At night, Maple either sleeps with me in bed or in her cat bed on my bed.”
