Luna and Krista Groff: Furry Friends Fur-Ever

“It’s been almost twenty years since I last had a kitty,” says Krista. “I met Luna, then called Nuttie, at a Furry Friends adoption event at PetSmart and chose her because of her beautiful and interesting coloring.

“Because she can be very shy, even now, when meeting new people, Luna’s adjustment to living with us was gradual. But she’s been a spunky little ray of sunshine in our home. She’s extremely playful and goofy, as well as comforting and loving. She loves to follow my daughter around the house to see what she’s doing. She also adores almost every single toy we’ve ever gotten her. Her favorite, though, is a ball and feather on a long pole.

“Although Luna loves pets, she’s still getting used to being held in a more cuddly fashion. Not to mention the fact that she also has moments of aloofness and independence. What makes me smile most about her though is how she LOVES to watch me get ready in the morning. She’ll hop up on the bathroom counter and watch me do my makeup and brush my teeth. This is truly one of her especially endearing habits!

“At night, Luna usually sleeps on the top of her cat tower, but sometimes, she’ll sleep on the bed with me as well.”
