Gemma and the Mabbitts : Furry Friends Fur-Ever Tail
“We adopted Gemma, whose original name was Robin, because she was the youngest and we wanted a kitten to bond with our kiddos,” Zoey explains.
“Happily for all of us, her adjustment to our home was immediate! She’s extremely affectionate and snuggly and playful which brings such boundless joy to our three young daughters. While Gemma and our 12-year-old cat Lucy don’t engage with each other that much, Gemma, to our surprise, really likes our 13-year-old dog Scout! Although he accepts her, he seems confused as to why she likes him so much. She not only snuggles up to him, she loves playing with his tail.
“Being an active kitten, Gemma loves using her scratcher, her tower and playing with the wide variety of toys we have for her. She also loves playing with string with the kiddos. A virtual purr machine always purr, purr, purring, she’s the cutest combination of sociable and self-sufficient. Half of the time she just wants to snuggle, but when she wakes up from a nap, she loves to go wild in the house, running up and down the stairs and chasing Scout, the dog.
“At night, Gemma sleeps in different places. She used to sleep in her cat house, but now she sleeps wherever she feels cosiest: in our bed, on a bean bag, and many times, alongside Scout.”
