Donovan and Diane: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“After I adopted Bentley from Furry Friends, I changed his name to Donovan,” says Diane. “The only reason that I was looking for a cat, specifically a tuxedo, is because my wonderful, lifelong tuxedo, Bosco, had passed away.
“I knew that my three-year-old tabby, Bailey, needed company at home whenever I travel. While I questioned the wisdom of adopting a kitten, after speaking to Donovan’s foster mom, seeing his pictures and reading about his personality, it just felt right.
“I’ve honestly never met such a kind, sweet and loving kitty! Donovan loves everyone, and everyone who meets him falls in love with him. He’s not afraid of anything and has been the perfect companion for Bailey. Since Bailey came from an abusive home situation, he’s extremely timid and anxious around new people and new animals. Donovan has been a great help to Bailey, making him more emotionally stable, more ‘talkative’ and more outgoing.
“Donovan is so perfect that I want to ensure he has the best every day – and this improves me. I firmly believe these beautiful little animals make us better human beings. That’s their purpose, other than being angels. Donovan could play 24 hours a day -- if I didn’t have a job and I didn’t need sleep – and he particularly loves flying mouse toys.
“He also loves to be cuddled. And the way he loves everybody always makes me smile. In short, I’m extremely grateful and lucky that I met Donovan. I’m glad I took the chance and adopted him.”
