Chloe and the Millers: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“We had recently lost our senior kitty to cancer, had a lot of love left to give, and another young cat at home named Maizie who still needed a companion,” Samantha says.
“After viewing the various photos on the Furry Friends website, we attended one of their adoption events at PetSmart on Valentine’s Day this year. How fitting was that? There we met and adopted Chloe, whose former name was Melody. Not only was she the precise age we were looking for (similar to Maizie), her cute little half mustache captured our attention. We watched her ‘making biscuits’ the entire time that we were looking at all of the kitties, and we just had a feeling that she was the one!
“Chloe adjusted to living with us extremely well. She was frightened at first as expected, but we had a separate room for her that allowed her to adjust on her own terms. After a few days, she was itching to explore her surroundings and she’s been excitedly exploring our home ever since. She and Maizie started getting along very quickly and now they’re the best of friends.
“Chloe has truly been a huge blessing to the family. She’s a hunter at heart and very playful and extremely affectionate. Her favorite spot to rest is a human’s lap! She LOVES chasing after the light from the laser pen, loves watching the birds and squirrels outside of the window -- and she is a big Churu fan.
“Her favorite spot to sleep at night is right up against me on the edge of the bed.”
