Ziggy and the Surgniers: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“I have had cats most of my life and love their energy,” says Paul. “Last September, my partner and I decided that our current kitty Circe needed a companion, and noticed Ziggy (then Gemma) posted on the Furry Friends website.
“We ultimately met her at an adoption event at PetSmart. She was in the room with several of her foster siblings keeping to herself and seemed so calm. Little did we know!
“She adjusted to our home fairly quickly, taking a little longer to warm up to her canine brother Charlie, but Circe reassured her that everything was okay and safe. Ziggy has not only been a wonderful addition to our family, she and Circe are now the best of friends. Circe enjoys showing Ziggy the ropes when it comes to living the ‘easy cat life’ and is truly excited to finally have someone who enjoys playing as much as she does.
“Ziggy loves toys and especially loves playing with her sister. Her favorite game is when we bounce ping pong balls down the hall for her to chase! She also loves being petted. If we’re sitting on the couch, she’s there on our lap asking for pets.
”One of Ziggy’s most endearing habits is that she greets us every single morning in bed when we wake up. As for where she sleeps at night: it varies on her mood. But she usually sleeps in her cat tower next to our bed with Circe.”
