Remi and Shaylene : Furry Friends Fur-Ever Tail

“I was not only Remi’s foster and chose her name, I ended up adopting her as well,” says Shaylene.

“While I was fostering her, she was SO, SO sweet. She would snuggle up on me and brush up against me whenever I was close to her. Eventually, she was adopted and when that didn’t work out, I took it as a sign that she was meant to be with me. When Remi returned, she was surprisingly skittish at first and settled back in gradually. She wouldn’t let me pick her up. She would just run away, but now she tolerates it … lol. She’s still easily startled and yet she’s definitely more comfortable here. 

“Truth be told, Remi’s made my life a million times more exciting! She’s a cheeky li’l thing and she certainly keeps me on my toes. She LOVES playing with her sister Millie whom I adopted from the Humane Society a few months before Remi, and they took to one another from the start.

“Remi also loves, absolutely loves, balls and springs and strings. And she LOVES playing fetch! Still just as snuggly as she used to be, she also LOVES snuggling on the couch. She’s the true definition of a lap cat, sitting contentedly in my lap while I pet her. Not to mention the fact that she also loves being brushed.

“Despite being fairly independent, Remi isn’t shy about seeking out my attention when she wants it. As for some of her sillier and most endearing habits: she’ll randomly get the zoomies and run FULL speed up and down the stairs in the house. She also enjoys chasing her own tail!

“At night, she and Millie either sleep with me or at the top of their cat trees.”
