Harley Quinn and the Mcloones: Furry Friends Fur-Ever

“Being cat people, we have always had cats in the past,” Michael says.

“We adopted Harley at a Furry Friends adoption event held at PetSmart. Why? Because of the way that she came out from the back of the ‘pack’ to greet me.

“Because we have dogs and other cats in our home, Harley’s integration took about a week. These days, though, she thoroughly enjoys playing with the puppies. She can dart in, around and through areas they can’t reach, and she derives the greatest delight out of getting them to chase her. Besides playing with the puppies, she loves playing with and chasing after the feather on a stick toy.

“Although Harley has become my shadow, she’s not the most cuddly cat at the moment, but she’s always nearby. She will accept being petted -- on her terms and as she allows. One of her mischievous quirks is that whenever she wants to play, she will stand up and swat at my arms while I’m working at my desk.  It’s not always the most welcomed advance, but it’s always adorable.

“As for Harley’s sleeping arrangements: The night generally starts with her sleeping under the bed for some reason, but she’ll occasionally come up to sleep on my pillow.”
