Leo and Stephanie Leeper: Furry Friends Fur-Ever

“I adopted two other kittens, Winnie and Dolly (formerly Chips and Fish) from Furry Friends in March,” explains Stephanie.

“I had recently lost my soul dog after 12 years and felt ready to open my heart again. I also thought that Winnie and Dolly could use a friend to play with. I went to PetSmart on a random Thursday and happened to see a litter of kittens with their foster mom. I went to meet them, picked up Petrie, who is now Leo, and the rest is history.

“Leo’s adjustment was gradual because of Winnie and Dolly. I wanted to allow them ample time to get used to one another. After about two weeks, all three were interacting fully, and now they’re inseparable. Leo is such a bright spot in my days. He’s energetic and spunky, sassy and full of personality. Every morning when I wake up, he’s waiting for a cuddle and drooling without fail!

“Winnie and Dolly LOVE their brother. They all cuddle and play, eat and snooze together. They’ve bonded more than I could have ever imagined. Leo loves laser pointers, tunnels, wands -- and anything that he can swat around. He also loves to carry his toys to new spots throughout the house and especially enjoys knocking over things on counters.

“Always affectionate, Leo is ever so cuddly. He LOVES being cuddled, scooting over to me, purring and drooling, and would happily cuddle all day if I let him. What makes me smile is the way he loves to sneak up on his sisters and pounce. Not to mention how he loves to wiggle his bottom before ‘launching’ himself at a laser pointer. Honestly, I could watch Leo be his cute little self all day long.

“At night, Leo usually sleeps curled up with one of his sisters or in a fuzzy bed with his ‘blankie.’”
