Jonny and the Toledos: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“Jonny is very special to my family and me,” Jessica says. “I was going through a difficult time after learning that I had thyroid cancer.
“While we already had an adult cat named Asteroid, I began looking on the Furry Friends website for another kitty to adopt. As soon as I saw Jonny’s photo, I knew he was the one. We met him at his foster home nearby – proving even more that this adoption was meant to be. Not only that, his name, which we kept, is the same as his dad’s!
“Blessed with the cutest face and personality, he adjusted immediately to living with us. It amazed us how exploratory and playful he was from day one, and he didn’t hesitate to sleep in bed with us that first night. Surprisingly good with children, he’s the cutest little ball of energy and has added so much warmth and joy to our house.
“Every member of the family loves seeing him and engaging with him, and he and Asteroid are the best of friends. They love spending time bird watching together by the window and they’re always sleeping together. Jonny especially enjoys playing hide and go seek. He watches you hide, makes this clicking noise, and then, in the blink of an eye, he’s right in front of you!
“A great fan of playing fetch, he’s equally fond of spring toys, toy mice and any kind of string. He also likes playing with paper bags and loves boxes of all kinds. Not the greatest fan of being petted and cuddled, he’ll sometimes allow it, but when the mood strikes, he’ll come and lie next to you.
“Jonny has several quirks that make us smile: he’ll follow you to the bathroom and either wait outside the door or go in with you. Needless to say, he’s extremely curious about water. He also has a habit of looking up at you admiringly and rubbing your leg.
“At night, Jonny either sleeps with Asteroid on the recliner or in bed on his dad’s legs.”
