Joey, Mikey, Julie and Lucy and Shannon Spears: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“I have always had cats in the past,” Shannon says. “And yet, this time it was different.
“How? You might wonder. While volunteering as a foster mom for Furry Friends, I fell head over heels in love with four of the kittens in my care and simply could not say goodbye. They are all foster fails!
“Their names are Joey (formerly Jojo), Mikey (formerly Gigabyte), Julie and Lucy. Needless to say, their adjustment to living in my home was immediate … considering the fact that they were already in their fur-ever home. Because my two elderly cats recently passed away, this precious foursome keep me company, helping me heal and giving me four times the loving.
“While all four kittens love playing games and playing with toys, Mikey can always be counted on to bring me toys to throw for him, and he leaves one of them on my bed every morning. Joey, Mikey, Julie and Lucy adore attention, and not only do they all love being petted and cuddled, they’re frequently in a cuddle puddle next to me.
“What I find especially endearing about these kittens is that they’re all so funny. None of them like me to read a book and will get in between the book and me every time.
“As for where all four kittens sleep at night: with me, of course!”
