Hank, Harvey and Miso and the Trejos: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“My husband Juan, our three children and I met Hank, Harvey and Miso (formerly Tiggy) at their foster homes,” says Holly.
“I personally saw Tiggy posted on FB, just had to meet him, and instantly knew that he was for us. The kids fell in love with Hank and Harvey, and since we couldn’t choose just one, we adopted them both. All three, who made themselves at home immediately, were placed in our lives at the right time, and have made our family complete.
“We have one 7-year-old female cat, Gracie, who only liked her original fur friend, Gilbert, whom we lost in July (he was our first family pet, and we still miss him so much), but she tolerates her new housemates. What’s especially eerie, and surprisingly comforting, though, is that Miso’s face could have been Gilbert’s face!
“Although we have more toys than I can count, all three kitties prefer the most random things. Hank, for example, is OBSESSED with hair ties and Miso loves pens and pencils. They have no sense of personal space and must be all up in ours at all times. What makes us smile: Harvey snores SO loudly. We also laugh because we always say that his ‘meow-er’ is broken. When he goes to ‘meow,’ nothing comes out.
“Hank, on the other hand, makes up for that! He is extremely loud and LOVES talking to us. Miso is the baby and ALL kitten: the laughs are daily with him. These three brothers are the poster cats for typical orange cat behaviors. I’m fairly certain that Hank is short a few brain cells and Harvey is like an old man in a kitten body. They love everyone and everyone loves them and all of their ‘orange chunkiness.’
“At night Hank sleeps ON my head ... literally! Miso sleeps on my chest or on my husband’s chest, and Harvey spends every night sleeping in our older daughter’s bed.”
