Faye and Jinx and Linda Rodriguez: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“My boyfriend Tim and I met Faye at her foster family’s house,” Linda says. “It’s no surprise that she was originally named Licorice because of her gorgeous black fur.
“She was so shy and so sweet and, to tell you the truth, I just fell in love with her extremely long and plentiful white whiskers! Her tabby bother Jinx, previously known as Habanero, was at the same foster home, and although we hadn’t really planned on adopting both of them, Jinx boldly picked my boyfriend. They fell in love with each other, and it truly was the sweetest sight to see.
“Faye’s adjustment after bringing her home took between two and three days whereas Jinx’s adjustment was smooth and easy. Faye has the loudest purr, and while she isn’t much of a cuddle bug at the moment, I think she’ll eventually get there. We love her playful spirit and the way that she’s so very curious about everything. She also has the cutest chirp whenever she’s looking for Jinx or someone in the house, but being naturally more shy, she enjoys ‘doing her own thing’ most of the time. She does play with toys and likes watching our tortoises, though.
“Jinx is not only funny, he gives the sweetest cuddles. He loves playing with toys and has a well-deserved reputation as a bug hunter! Two of his funniest, most endearing quirks are how much he LOVES burrowing under blankets and how much he LOVES stretching out his arms in the most awkward way possible when he does. At night, Faye likes to sleep with the children, on her cat tree or in her cat bed, while Jinx likes to sleep with the children, with me or on his cat tree.
“Both Faye and Jinx have brought so much joy to us and the children, and we all love them so very, very much.”
