Clover and Jordan Schlosser : Furry Friends Fur-Ever Tail
“Clover is the first kitty I’ve had on my own,” Jordan says. “I have a very particular lifestyle and, so, quite naturally, I was looking for the perfect fit.
“When I visited the shelter, Clover was separated from the other cats and was lying on the floor, completely disinterested in her surroundings. After learning a little bit about her, I felt confident that she would thrive as an ‘only child’ in a quiet house. Although she was cautious and quite skittish for the first few months, she warmed up more and more each day as she learned that she could trust her new environment.
“She’s been keeping me company during a very tumultuous time in my life and I’m extremely grateful for that. Although Clover remains fearful of anything that makes noise and, so far at least, doesn’t seem especially interested in toys, there’s one stick that she LOVES me to move under the blankets in order for her to pounce on it!
“Fond of affection, Clover needs her morning, afternoon and evening pet sessions. And being quite independent, in that she won’t follow me from room to room, whenever she’s ready for company, she’ll ‘herd’ me into the living room with her unique squeaking. She almost exclusively ‘talks’ in extremely high-pitched squeaks that catch a lot of people off guard.
“Clover now sleeps on what used to be MY fancy ergonomic pillow, and we sleep facing each other almost every night.”
