Cali and the Randalls: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“I have had more than 13 cats in my life,” Laurie says. “In June of 2025, my husband Jeff and I lost our black lab, KC, and in December we lost our calico cat, Abbie.
“We’ve always had four to five cats at a time in our home, not to mention the fact that I’ve had my red lord amazon parrot for 21 years. I wanted another calico kitty like Abbie, and so, after viewing various photos on the Furry Friends website, I visited PetSmart in May and adopted Cali. I specifically wanted a more senior kitty and provide her with a loving fur-ever home.
“Cali has still been adjusting to my three male kitties. She does put them in their place, though! She’s most definitely a cuddler and loves lying on my lap whenever I’m sitting on the couch. She’s also very beautiful and full of spunk for a nine-year-old, and she usually sleeps on our bed at night.
“By the way, in September of 2023, we adopted Stormy and Smokey, formerly called Raider and Rascal, from their Furry Friends’ foster mom, and we absolutely adore them! All cats should be treated with love and care because they bring such joy into our lives. Our kitty MJ, who’s seven, loves playing with Stormy, keeping him on his toes and vice versa.”
