Bon and Jovi and the Garibovs: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“We had a tabby named Margo whom we adopted from a Humane Society in Michigan and who was with us for over 10 years before passing from cancer/diabetes,” says Nataliia.
“Since we’re often away for work and school, we were looking for a pair of bonded kittens to make certain they were never lonely. I fortunately found just such a pair on the Furry Friends website. I fell in love with the pictures of Jovi and her much adored, bonded brother, who was then called Buddy.
“Bon, who is very brave and outgoing, adjusted to living with us immediately while Jovi, who’s somewhat shy and reserved, took longer to adjust. But at this point, we can safely say that they rule the house! Both kittens have brought only joy to our three daughters who are seven, five and three years of age, and who give them lots of love, hugs and kisses. Thankfully, the kittens don’t mind. I’m very pleased that the staff at the shelter found cats with temperaments ideal for our family, since all cats aren’t as patient as Bon and Jovi are.
“Both kittens love playing with their many catnip toys, playing soccer with small balls and playing with our daughters’ toys that aren’t always put away. They also love to be petted and cuddled, and if we sit long enough in one place, they’ll lie down and nap on us.
“While Bon and Jovi have different personalities, it’s fascinating to watch them interact, play and love on each other. It’s very endearing to watch them cuddle and lick/clean one another.
“At night, the kittens either sleep on our bed or somewhere else in the house. Couches and pillows are their favorite places to sleep.”
