Natsu Mauricio and the Diazes: Furry Friends Fur-Ever
“We have always had cats in our lives,” Danira says. “We were fortunate enough to meet Natsu, then called Maurice, at his foster home, and we chose him because of his cute furry face, ears and whiskers.
“His adjustment to living with us was immediate. He bonded with my son and that’s his person now. Natsu has his own bed, but he’s ‘ordained’ the laundry basket as his chosen resting area. He’s brought so much loving and cuddling and entertainment to our home. He has a ‘secret agenda’ against all of the electrical outlets where he stealth mode attacks and parkours off them daily in the hopes of eventually ‘subduing’ them. We have to be especially careful to keep the bathroom doors closed because he has a habit of ‘grazing’ from the toilets! Natsu is the perfect sweet and funny companion and we needed him as much as he needed us.
“Although we have a dog, they don’t interact at all. As for toys and games: Natsu loves to ‘assist’ me while I’m working, and that usually means turning my work time into petting time (he also loves belly rubs) next to my laptop. He not only loves the laser and anything with a bell or that dangles, he’s a faithful member of the neighborhood watch, standing guard by the window for several hours a day.
“At night, Natsu naturally sleeps in the laundry basket, preferably filled with dirty clothes!”
