EDUCATION

We are devoted to providing education to the public regarding pet care and responsibility.

We provide pet education to schools, clubs and organizations. We have developed a presentation to children grades K-4 and can aid senior projects as well. We teach many aspects of animal welfare including animal control and welfare, animal rights, first aid and safety, spay and neuter, and how our relationship with companion animals influences our society.

FOSTER CARE & RESCUE

We are committed to finding foster care for cats, dogs and other abandoned, neglected, homeless and special needs animals.

Our foster care includes providing necessary medical care as well as providing a safe, clean and comfortable shelter and food. In addition, we spay and neuter all our foster pets for adoption. We also provide leukemia testing of cats, as well as currently required vacinnations. Our foster home providers are subject to screening, which includes an application, reference checks and an inspection of the home.

ADOPTIVE PET SHOWINGS

We strive to locate adoptive homes for available pets by showing them regularly at local sites and events.

We currently show our foster pets at several area pet stores and cat related events.  Please visit the News page of this website or contact our office for times and additional information. Adoptions are subject to screening which includes completing an applicaton, reference checks and a visit to the adoptive home.

PET THERAPY VISITS

We are dedicated to offering animal visits as therapy to local residents of nursing homes and assisted living centers.

We provide regular visits of therapy animals that can be held, stroked or just talked to as a means of providing stimulation and interaction with residents and staff. Pet therapy has been proven to be an effective method of stress reduction, lowered blood pressure, and increased sense of well being in patients and staff. No special training is required, but pets must be well groomed, well behaved and must have current licensing and vaccinations.

SENIOR "GOLDEN DEPOSIT" FUND

We collect donations for senior citizens to enable them to afford pet deposits to keep their lifelong companions.

Many seniors would like to have a pet, but because they are on a fixed income, cannot afford the pet deposits required by many facilities. We are committed to providing funds for the deposit and to assit in medical care and expenses of pets for seniors. We are continually seeking donations for this fund from corporate sponsors and individuals.

NON-KILL STATUS

Due to overpopulation, many homeless animals are currently euthanized in the state of Washington. We eagerly assist other groups to accomplish a non-kill status in the State of Washington by educating, spaying and neutering and providing homes to homeless pets.
